I’m not attracted to EVERY lesbian

I love how my straight friends find another lesbian and they automatically try to set me up with her.

Pretty much my life.

I might have reblogged this already but whatever.

eeeee I love her

oh yay the english version!!

YES. YES. ALL OF THE YES.

This is really important.  Our “sexuality” is defined by the terms that are available.  The idea of what your sexuality is, is socially constructed.  I thought I was bisexual, because this was the term that most applied, until I learned what pansexuality was, and I was like, YES, THAT’S HOW I FEEL.  And now, since I’ve been dating a man, people have told that that I was a “fake lesbian” or a “bisexual who just did it for heteronormative pleasure”, but that’s not it at all.  I love people.  If I love you, it’s not your gender, it’s not your race, it’s not your religion, it’s not your haircut, it’s not anything superficial that makes me emotionally or physically attracted to you.  I LOVE YOU.  YOU.  And besides, gender is so fluid… I’m a boyish girl, and my boyfriend is a girlish boy, and I fucking love that.  I told my boyfriend recently, “I feel like I’m actually a lesbian who happened to find a soulmate… who happened to be a boy.”  But honestly, I just love people because they’re beautiful, and loving, and sexy, and imperfect, and perfect, and real, and honest, and mysterious, and magical.

“Pairing men with femininity is seen as like an insult, like you’re lowering yourself. Yet women doing masculinity - not an insult to women. I think it’s safe to say that there might even be some fear of the feminine. I’ve heard this phenomenon referred to in some circles as femmephobia. So this aversion to the feminine in marketing and products is one of the outcomes of femmephobia. Another outcome is that anytime someone who is perceived as a man is aligning with anything feminine-y - it is perceived as a direct threat to Mr. Manly Man’s masculinity. You can be aggressive, you can be intolerant, you can be hateful; but don’t dare wear a dress. Or so comes, ‘you’re a fag,’ ‘you’re a pussy,’ and the violence.” - Laci Green

I have experienced this with many men (Been on the receiving end of …practically an assemble your own innuendo there, oops.) growing up, it’s just ..ugh.. ridiculous and disgusting. And they wonder why they alienate themselves from women and I stay on peoples good side, and it makes them even angrier.

The amount of jokes about being gay or a woman, well if there were a jar for it I’d be able to afford a castle… I’m like, dude, I was raised only by women..what do you expect? I regret nothing, I’d take a strong female character over a bunch of bigoted meathead men every damn time -and secondly, there’s nothing wrong with femininity in anyone, shut the fuck up, if you thought about what you were saying you’d realise you’re doing yourself no favours and flagging yourself as a tad bit of a misogynist and you will lose your only interesting friends if you continue this way.

I don’t ever want to feel ashamed that I have feminine characteristics. Posts like this reassure me to never, ever be afraid of being myself.

Oh, wow. I have never gotten this before. Yes, it is quite a wonderful thing. She seems to have a 6th sense or something. She tends to call when I am feeling the most down, and lonely, out of nowhere.

Cuz you never were, and you never will be mine
